Plastic recycling... a joke that is not funny...Articles

According to Agence France-Presse, plastic recycling is a “myth”!

Wow, what a title that captures the imagination. In Canada, particularly in Quebec, we make significant efforts to collect plastic materials. Even an infrastructure has been created... but no tangible results have yet been seen.

It's always a question of dollars outweighing the sacrifices/benefits to the environment. Bad!

As the article indicates, the trend to recycle plastic is decreasing as humans produce more and more plastic waste. In fact, in recent years, China and several countries have stopped or reduced the amount of plastic waste accepted from the West.

Among the seven categories of plastics, two are classified as recyclable. It is easy to imagine why billions of tons are buried and/or burned.

Finally, since "new" plastic is cheaper to use than "recycled" plastic, it is not easy to find those interested in sorting and recycling certain plastics.

Fortunately, laws will gradually force companies to use and include an increasingly significant portion of recycled plastic in their manufacturing. Hence the relevance of the Corsair Group International project, which has created a viable, effective and efficient ecosystem.
